Mr. Mohamed Gobran, the President of Egypt Trade Union Federation announced the end of preparations for Egypt’s hosting of the 43rd session of the OATUU General Council that will be held under the Patronage of his Excellency, the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo from October 18th to October 20th, 2022.
Gobran assured that the conference will be attended by nearly 100 trade union figures from the continent and representatives of the International Labor Organization, the Arab Labor Organization and the World Federation of Trade Unions.
The conference will discuss labor issues, development and social peace in continent states through reports about the development of recruitment mechanisms and providing the appreciate labor, in addition to the optimal investment of natural resources and wealth to contribute to reducing poverty and unemployment.
The President of Egypt Trade Union Federation added that during the opening session of conference, International Labor Organization policy of social protection towards recovery from COVID-19 will be presented, and the status of social protection in Africa in light of the COVID-19 epidemic will be discussed and the fundamental lessons learned from ” African Union, International Labor Organization” in addition to the study of financing capacity in order to extend the social protection coverage of non official economy.
